Korea Corner Anniversary Gala: Korean Music Evening with Fusion Band E-ro
The Romanian-Korean Studies Center (CSRK) within the Romanian-American University, in collaboration with the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Romania, are organizing a special Korean Music Evening celebrating the 35th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Korea and Romania and the fourth anniversary of the Korea Corner Project. This year’s Anniversary Gala promises an unforgettable evening of fusion music having as special guests the Korean band, E-ro. The event will take placeon Saturday, October 4th at 5:00 p.m., in the Aula Magna of the Romanian-American University.
Prepare to be captivated by the unique sounds of E-ro, a rising Korean fusion band blending traditional Korean melodies with modern influences. Featuring the sorrowful voice of Lee Min-jin, the innovative gayageum playing of Choi A-ra and the guitar rhythms of Lim Chae-seong, E-ro’s performance will transport you to the heart of Korea’s vibrant music scene.
The gala will also recognize the academic achievements of the top ten students from the Romanian-Korean Studies Centre, the top prize will contribute towards the winner’s travel expenses to Korea for an upcoming cultural program.
The Gala will also feature performances by Pureun Narae (traditional Korean percussions) and Syzygy (K-Pop dance).
Moreover, E-ro will host a Singing Workshop on Sunday, October 5th, 11:00 a.m., in the Protocol Room of the Romanian-American University, offering a hands-on experience with Korean musical techniques.
