Inspiring Intergenerational Meeting at the School of Finance and Accounting
The School of Finance and Accounting within the Romanian-American University hosted a special event dedicated to intergenerational dialogue. Bachelor’s and master’s students had the opportunity to interact directly with alumni who have either already built successful careers in the field or are just at the beginning of their professional journey. The meeting provided a valuable opportunity for exchanging experiences, ideas, and perspectives on career development in accounting, audit, and tax consultancy
Accounting: Between Responsibility and Passion
Associate Professor Marilena Roxana Zuca, PhD, emphasized the essential role of accounting professionals and financial auditors in increasing trust in financial information. In a continuously evolving field, progress sometimes requires sacrifice, but above all passion, perseverance, and a constant desire to learn. A career is built step by step, and professional development involves not only acquiring knowledge but also learning from mistakes.
In turn, Lecturer Luminița Horhotă, PhD, highlighted that in today’s dynamic and uncertain context, accounting has become more than a science of recording transactions. It is a pillar of transparency, a strategic tool, and an essential component of risk management.
The event thus became an invitation to reflection and open dialogue on educational and professional journeys in this field.
