Choosing a university is undoubtedly one of the most important decisions in a young person’s life. For parents, however, priorities revolve around safety, stability, Western-standard facilities, and, above all, the assurance that their investment in their child’s education will translate into a successful career. Faced with a long list of majors, the question “Where to next?” can become overwhelming for both students and their families.
Addressing this challenge, the Romanian-American University brings a revolutionary approach to the Romanian education market. Launched in partnership with the digital agency Cognition, StudyVerse is a unique interactive multimedia platform designed specifically to transform vocational guidance from simply reading brochures into a genuine digital exploration.
What is StudyVerse?
The StudyVerse platform was created to fully digitize the pre-university experience of prospective students, offering them a clear vision of their professional career path through unique features:
- Exploration in the form of planets: RAU’s ten elite faculties are digitally mapped as distinct virtual planets within the “universe of knowledge”. Applicants can “land” on each planet to discover the subjects taught, skills acquired, and the stories behind each specialization.
- SkillQuest Navigator: The centerpiece of the platform is a smart, intuitive quiz based on interests and skills. By completing this online test, candidates receive personalized recommendations regarding the faculty that best matches their native profile and future aspirations.
- Testimonials and direct connection: Prospective students do not just read descriptions; they can watch authentic video testimonials from current students and professors. This allows them to learn firsthand about campus lifestyle, Erasmus+ opportunities, or practical university projects.
- Integrated career counseling: Beyond the automated digital tools, the platform allows users to request personalized, direct career counseling from university representatives, who can assist them in making an informed decision.
A Complete Experience in the Virtual and Real Campus
Through StudyVerse, the university demonstrates that digital transformation is not merely a theoretical concept, but an integrated reality in daily life. The modern campus—equipped with a digitized library, specialized laboratories for every field, and its own sports hall—becomes accessible from anywhere, on any device, preparing future candidates for a smooth and enthusiastic transition to university life.
Additionally, young people exploring this universe will discover unique opportunities offered by the university: 20% of Bachelor’s degree places and 10% of Romanian-language Master’s degree places are tuition-free based on academic performance. They will also find over 330 international partnerships for overseas scholarships, Erasmus+ mobilities, and elective courses within the Centers for Asian and Latin American Studies.
