From Interactive Classes to Lifelong Friendships: A Practical Guide to Student Life at RAU
The jump from high school to university is far more than just swapping classrooms. It marks the defining moment where young individuals map out their own path, uncover their true callings, and build bonds that stand the test of time. For incoming students, university life brings energy, independence, and fresh communities. For parents, peace of mind comes from knowing their children are in a safe, Western-standard environment equipped with every resource needed to thrive.
Marking 35 years of educational excellence and innovation, the Romanian-American University (RAU) offers an experience that goes well beyond conventional academic rigor. Home to over 3,000 current students and an expansive global network of more than 50,000 alumni, RAU provides a fully developed educational ecosystem. Here is a genuine look inside life on our modern campus!
An ultramodern campus: Peace of mind for parents, technology for youth
One of RAU’s defining strengths-noticeable the moment you walk through our doors-is its seamless campus infrastructure and top-tier facilities. Every space is tailored to inspire learning and personal growth:
· Fully Digitalized Environment: Lecture halls and auditoriums come packed with advanced multimedia tech. Academic programs incorporate high-level Artificial Intelligence (AI) modules and practical digital skills, equipping students for the careers of tomorrow.
· Dedicated Study and Social Spaces: The university library grants access to thousands of titles and leading global databases, alongside modern networking lounges ideal for teamwork and joint projects.
· Fitness and Well-being: The campus features a state-of-the-art sports hall that promotes an active, healthy lifestyle-a feature deeply reassuring for parents who prioritize their children’s overall well-being.
Student Clubs & Beyond: Uncover Where You Belong
University years are built for exploration. At RAU, students sharpen their leadership, communication, and teamwork abilities by getting involved in hands-on extracurricular activities. They can join vibrant student associations or specialized clubs to organize events, charity drives, galas, and competitions.
Furthermore, students fascinated by international cultures can take advantage of our Asian and Latin-American Study Centers (including specialized programs for Japanese and Korean cultures). Here, they learn foreign languages directly from native instructors and immerse themselves in unique cultural festivals.
A Truly Authentic International and Multicultural Community
Studying at RAU opens up a global perspective. Our campus is a thriving multicultural hub, welcoming students from more than 50 countries. This rich environment lets local students interact daily with diverse cultures, practice international languages, and cultivate a broad world view.
Through our network of over 328 international partnerships, students easily tap into Erasmus+ exchanges and study abroad scholarships across Europe, the US, and Asia-gaining international academic exposure without heavy financial burdens on their families.
Top-tier Networking: Direct Connections with Business Leaders
At RAU, academic theory goes hand-in-hand with real-world application. Throughout the year, we host high-impact conferences, workshops, and networking sessions featuring seasoned entrepreneurs, executive managers from top multinationals, and industry leaders. Students get direct access to mentorship, get their questions answered, and gain a clear picture of job market realities straight from the professionals shaping it.
Career Success: Continuous Guidance from Day One to Employment
A natural question for every parent is: “Where does this degree lead after graduation?” RAU offers a clear answer: we guide students at every step. Through specialized career services, we assist with resume building, interview preparation, and guarantee mandatory internships with reputable partner companies both locally and abroad. As a result, upon completing their 3-year undergraduate degree, our graduates hold not just an accredited diploma, but tangible field experience.
