Short Description:

Gheorghe Camelia-Monica graduated from the Faculty of Domestic and International Tourism Economics (ETII) in 2005 and completed the Master’s program in “Tourism Business Administration” in 2007, at the Romanian-American University.
Following the completion of her doctoral studies at the Bucharest University of Economic Studies, she obtained her PhD in Economics in 2010.
She is a University Lecturer within the Department of “Commerce, Economic Integration and Business Administration”, Faculty of ETII.
She is Director of the “IATA RAU Authorized Training Center” and “International Relations Coordinator” for the Faculty of ETII.
She coordinates the Master’s program “Business Management in Tourism and Aviation” at the same faculty. Since 2013, she has organized the annual international conference “Management, Leadership and Innovation toward a Better Changing World”. She was invited as a keynote speaker at the “IATA Global Training Partner Conference” in 2014 (Canada) and 2017 (Sri Lanka), and she is an external evaluator for the European Commission.
She has published more than 30 specialized articles and has been involved in curriculum development, research, and business collaboration projects.

Member of the “International Federation for Information Technologies in Travel and Tourism (IFITT)” – Innsbruck, Austria (since 2013);
Member of the “Tourism Research Information Network (TRINET)” – Hawaii, USA (since 2013).
