Short Description:
- Gheorghe Camelia-Monica graduated from the Faculty of Domestic and International Tourism Economics (ETII) in 2005 and completed the Master’s program in “Tourism Business Administration” in 2007, at the Romanian-American University.
- Following the completion of her doctoral studies at the Bucharest University of Economic Studies, she obtained her PhD in Economics in 2010.
- She is a University Lecturer within the Department of “Commerce, Economic Integration and Business Administration”, Faculty of ETII.
- She is Director of the “IATA RAU Authorized Training Center” and “International Relations Coordinator” for the Faculty of ETII.
- She coordinates the Master’s program “Business Management in Tourism and Aviation” at the same faculty. Since 2013, she has organized the annual international conference “Management, Leadership and Innovation toward a Better Changing World”. She was invited as a keynote speaker at the “IATA Global Training Partner Conference” in 2014 (Canada) and 2017 (Sri Lanka), and she is an external evaluator for the European Commission.
- She has published more than 30 specialized articles and has been involved in curriculum development, research, and business collaboration projects.

- Member of the “International Federation for Information Technologies in Travel and Tourism (IFITT)” – Innsbruck, Austria (since 2013);
- Member of the “Tourism Research Information Network (TRINET)” – Hawaii, USA (since 2013).
