Erasmus+: Internationalization and Multiculturalism at the Romanian-American University
From June 29 to July 4, 2026, the Erasmus+ Office of the Romanian-American University is organizing a new edition of the RAU International Week, a benchmark event dedicated to strengthening international academic collaboration and exchanging best practices among partner institutions worldwide.
As part of this edition, the Blended Intensive Program (BIP) “Preparing Students for an Intercultural Environment” will take place, organized in close collaboration with the Department of Foreign Languages. The program brings together 40 participants from 28 partner universities, representing 18 countries, providing a dynamic multicultural framework for developing intercultural skills and expanding cooperation networks.
A Diversified Academic Program Focused on Networking
This year’s RAU International Week agenda combines specialized working sessions with networking opportunities:
- Intercultural Communication Course – taught by Assoc. Prof. Elena Mușeanu, PhD (Romanian-American University);
- Romanian Crash Course – taught by Oksana Pryshliak, representative of Ternopil Volodymyr Hnatiuk National Pedagogical University;
- Official meetings with representatives of the Schools and the university leadership;
- Debate sessions dedicated to the exchange of best practices in the field of higher education internationalization;
- Institutional presentations of the partner universities;
- Networking activities and a guided tour of the Romanian-American University campus.
Discovering Romanian Cultural Heritage
In addition to the academic and university management components, international guests will have the opportunity to discover Romania’s history and traditions through a specially designed cultural program, which includes:
- A guided tour of Bucharest;
- A visit to the Palace of the Parliament;
- A cultural excursion to Bran Castle and the city of Brașov.
By organizing this major event, the Romanian-American University reaffirms its strong commitment to the internationalization process, offering the academic community an open space for global dialogue and the development of future strategic partnerships.
