“Anything Is Possible with Hard Work and Dedication” – An Inspiring Dialogue with Florin Vasile
A conversation about integrity, learning, and the courage to grow.
A graduate of the Faculty of Computer Science for Business Management, Florin Vasile spoke to students about self-confidence, professional ethics, and the courage to seize every opportunity. He emphasized the importance of continuous learning, perseverance, and a positive attitude at the beginning of one’s career:
|“You have to keep learning all the time. Many of the things you learn in university will help you later. Learn how to research, to read, to stay curious. You must always keep learning.”
He encouraged students to apply for internship programs, gain practical experience, and treat every opportunity seriously:
|“At your workplace, you have to give your best — that’s where you truly specialize. Take two or three extra courses, learn from your colleagues. It doesn’t matter if you don’t know everything from the start; what matters is that you want to learn.”
In a speech filled with pragmatic advice and personal stories, Florin Vasile highlighted the value of perseverance and a constructive attitude:
|“Be serious, committed, and responsible. There’s no such thing as not doing your job — you simply won’t last. That’s my advice: be honest, and sleep well with a clear conscience.”
He also spoke about respect and good manners — qualities that define a true professional:
|“Be punctual, take interviews seriously, respect the people you interact with. Never forget the basics — good manners and respect are the foundation of any success.”
Reflecting on his own experience as a young manager, he shared an important lesson about humility and growth:
|“At one of my first jobs, I was young, enthusiastic, and already a manager — but I realized I knew nothing. I had to start from scratch. It was a valuable lesson: no one is born an expert, but with patience and perseverance, you can reach any goal.”
He urged students to remain empathetic and balanced when they reach leadership positions:
|“If you’re ever in a position of power, be kind, not dominant. It’s not ethical to abuse your authority.”
At the same time, he underlined the importance of collaboration and professional networking:
|“Help people, work together, and maintain good relationships with former colleagues. You never know when a kind gesture will come back to you. Build as large a professional network as you can — support each other along the way.”
Among his messages were also reflections on life balance and personal well-being:
|“It’s important to set goals both professionally and personally. Stability at home gives you the peace of mind needed to perform at work. Take care of yourselves, exercise, and find a balance between work and health.”
He also reminded students about the importance of courage and openness to opportunity:
|“Don’t waste opportunities. When a door opens, step through it! If you don’t, someone else will. Trust yourselves and what you’re capable of achieving.”
His closing message was one of inspiration and balance:
|“Anything is possible with hard work and dedication. Enjoy your student years — they’re the most beautiful time in life — but prepare seriously for what’s ahead.”
Through his personal example and the advice he shared, Florin Vasile offered students a valuable lesson on seriousness, responsibility, integrity, and the power to build a strong career through continuous learning, perseverance, and respect.
