INCOMING STAFF TEACHING / TRAINING

Teaching Mobilities

The incoming teaching mobilities are organised in line with RAU “Internationalisation at home” strategy, that aims to bring an international dimension to our non-mobile students, by welcoming foreign professors and practitioners from our partner universities and institutions, to share their knowledge and expertise.

Teaching Mobilities (STA) enable the academic staff of partner universities of the Romanian-American University to conduct short-term teaching activities. The mobilities are organized based on interinstitutional agreements with RAU.

The minimum duration of a teaching mobility is 2 working days, and the activities must cover a minimum of 8 teaching hours / week. The recommended duration is 5 working days.

For a higher impact, the teaching mobilities should be organized during the teaching period of the academic year:

  • for the fall semester: between October 15 and December 15
  • for the spring semester: between March 1 and May 15
  • for teaching in the Blended Intensive Programmes organised by RAU: TBA
  • Selection Criteria
    • Academic qualification
    • Content of the teaching program
    • Teaching staff of a partner institution

he Guest Courses program opens a mobility window by welcoming guest professors from our partner universities to give lectures, courses, or seminars in the following fields:

  • Computer Science
  • Business Administration
  • Economics
  • Tourism
  • Management
  • Marketing
  • Law
  • Sports
  • Kinesiology

Please find out more about our program here: https://guestcourses.rau.ro/

The teaching activities are usually organized as one-week intensive courses, of 8 to 12 teaching hours (the minimum number of teaching hours depends on the framework of exchange: e.g. for Erasmus+ STA the minimum is 8 h / week). Our suggestion is to plan an intensive course for 4/5 days, 2-2.5 hours/day.

The professors should submit their proposals of titles and content for the course. We suggest planning a general course, open to a diversity of participants (since this is going to be an extra-curricular course, it will be open to all our students, therefore the students might have different backgrounds).

The participants are expected to cover their accommodation, travel, and subsistence costs through an Erasmus teaching mobility grant or other funds (please refer to your Erasmus+ office for further information).

In order to apply, fill in the application form.

The incoming training mobilities provide good opportunities for the coordinators and academic staff of our partners to enhance the cooperation between our universities, to share best practices, to interact with an intercultural environment, or to attend lectures and seminars.

Training Mobilities (STT) enable the academic and administrative staff of partner universities of the Romanian-American University to conduct short-term training activities

The mobilities are organized based on interinstitutional agreements with RAU.

The minimum duration of a training mobility is 2 working days, the recommended duration being 5 working days, with activities for at least 6 hours / day.

The best period of the training visit should be decided with each participant individually
