Incoming Staff @ RAU – Teaching and Training Events
The Romanian-American University warmly welcomes academic and administrative staff from partner institutions to participate in its international events.
Each of these programs provides valuable opportunities for professional exchange, institutional cooperation, and the strengthening of international academic partnerships.
📌 International Teaching Week
RAU International Teaching Week brings together academic staff from partner universities around the world for a dynamic exchange of knowledge, teaching practices, and intercultural experiences. The programme features guest lectures, interactive workshops, networking sessions, and institutional meetings aimed at strengthening cooperation and developing future joint initiatives. A key highlight is the opportunity for participants to engage directly with our students in an international classroom environment, fostering cross-cultural dialogue and academic collaboration.
• Exchange of best practices in teaching
We aim to learn from one another by sharing our best practices. Both guest professors and RAU representatives will contribute their insights and experiences. Each participant is encouraged to prepare a brief teaching case, about 5–6 minutes, followed by a short discussion of 4–5 minutes. These examples will not only illustrate diverse teaching strategies but also foster a collaborative environment where participants can gain new insights and ideas.
• Erasmus Student Exchange Fair
During the Erasmus Student Exchange Fair, all participants will have the opportunity to represent their home universities and share insights about their academic experiences. This event aims to foster cultural exchange and networking, allowing our students to explore study opportunities across various institutions. To enhance visibility, we encourage you to bring a few flyers, brochures, and promotional materials that showcase your universities, helping our students gain a better understanding of potential exchange destinations.

The program will be an opportunity for educators, researchers, and professionals from partner universities to get insight into various approaches to Intercultural Communication, to exchange knowledge and share best practices on this topic, but also to strengthen international collaboration.
Through interactive sessions and peer dialogue, participants will strengthen their intercultural competences, expand their international networks, and lay the groundwork for future academic and institutional cooperation. The program also includes a rich cultural component designed to enhance intercultural understanding and informal networking.
Participants will take part in a cultural trip to Dracula’s Castle (Bran Castle) and the historic city of Brașov, offering insight into Romania’s heritage and traditions. 📌 Guest Courses Program
The Guest Courses program intends to open a mobility window by welcoming guest professors from our partner universities to give lectures, courses, or seminars in the following fields: Computer Science, Business Administration, Economics, Tourism, Management, Marketing, Law, Sports, Kinesiology, Psychology and related fields.
The professors interested in participating should submit their proposals of titles and content for the course. We suggest planning a general course, open to a diversity of participants (it is going to be offered as an extra-curricular course, that will be open to all our students, therefore the students might have different backgrounds).
The participants are expected to cover their accommodation, travel, and subsistence costs through an Erasmus+ teaching mobility grant or other funds (please refer to your Erasmus+ office for further information).
The program is organized during the teaching period of the academic year:
- for the fall semester: between 15th of October and 15th of December
- for the spring semester: between 1st of March 1 and 26th of May
Duration: 2 -5 days
