Romanian-American University and FEDE Explore Cooperation
On Tuesday, June 23, 2026, Professor Costel Negricea, PhD, Rector of the Romanian-American University, together with Vice-Rectors Professor Valeriu Potecea, PhD, and Professor Tudor Edu, PhD, welcomed Professor Speranța Milancovici, PhD, Habil. (Member of the Executive Committee of the Federation for European Education – FEDE and Dean of the Faculty of Socio-Human Sciences and Physical Education and Sport at the “Vasile Goldiș” Western University of Arad, a FEDE member institution in Romania), as well as Ms. Ruxandra Stroe (Deputy Director of Education at FEDE).
During the meeting, the participants explored potential avenues for institutional cooperation in the context of the Romanian-American University’s membership in FEDE. The discussions highlighted opportunities for collaboration and several areas of shared interest between the Romanian-American University and the Federation for European Education.
Founded in 1963, FEDE is an international non-governmental organization that brings together more than 500 member institutions across over 40 countries. FEDE holds participatory status with the Council of Europe and consultative status with UNESCO.
Through its activities, FEDE promotes an educational approach that combines professional competencies with competencies for a democratic culture, supporting high-quality education adapted to the current needs of society and the labor market.
