Romanian-American University and “Lucian Blaga” University of Sibiu Sign a Cooperation Agreement to Advance Higher Education and Research
Romanian-American University in Bucharest and “Lucian Blaga” University of Sibiu announce the signing, on 29 June 2026, of a framework agreement for institutional collaboration aimed at strengthening the academic, educational, and scientific relations between the two prestigious higher education institutions.
The official document was signed in Sibiu, in the “Lucian Blaga” Hall of ULBS, by the Rector of the Romanian-American University, Prof. Costel Negricea, PhD, Habil., and the Rector of the “Lucian Blaga” University of Sibiu, Prof. Sorin Radu, PhD, Habil. This partnership is built on the recognition of shared interests and the principles of university autonomy, with the primary objective of generating a lasting positive impact on the academic community.
The agreement establishes a general framework for interinstitutional cooperation in key areas supporting the modernization and internationalization of education. Priority directions identified by the two universities include the development of academic and educational activities, the creation of new learning and professional development opportunities for students and academic staff for mutual benefit, the development of joint research initiatives and projects that leverage the complementary expertise of both institutions, as well as the expansion and strengthening of their international visibility, alongside facilitating the exchange of best practices and academic innovation.
The implementation of specific activities will follow a jointly defined development pathway, aligned with identified collaboration opportunities and shared strategic objectives, with the aim of generating mutual benefits and long-term impact. Through this collaboration, the Romanian-American University and the “Lucian Blaga” University of Sibiu aim to promote excellence in higher education and respond dynamically to current societal challenges.
