Business Forum “Business and Investment Opportunities in Latin America”
On September 24, 2026, the Business Forum “Business and Investment Opportunities in Latin America” was held at the headquarters of the Bucharest Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIB).
The event was organized in partnership with the Romanian-American University, through the Center for Latin-American Studies (CLAS), and brought together ambassadors and members of the Diplomatic Corps of Latin American embassies accredited in Bucharest, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Romanian Agency for Investment and Foreign Trade (ARICE) and EximBank, faculty members and students of the Romanian-American University, as well as a significant number of business representatives from both Romania and the American continent.
The Forum was opened by Mr. Iuliu Stocklosa, President of CCIB, who highlighted the importance of the event from the perspective of increasing trade exchanges between Romania and the Latin American region.
Representing the Romanian side, Mr. Daniel Constantin, President of ARICE, and Mr. Tudor Edu, Ph.D. Habil. Professor, Vice-President for research, innovation and internationalization at the Romanian-American University, also delivered remarks. In addition, representatives of the embassies attending the Forum gave presentations on business and investment opportunities in the countries they represent.
Through the joint organization of the event by CCIB and the Romanian-American University, an attempt was made, for the first time, to bring together academic cooperation and cooperation in the economic and commercial fields, an aspect emphasized by Vice-Rector Tudor Edu in his address.
At the end of the Forum, B2B meetings took place between Romanian business representatives and those who had travelled from the American continent.
We hope that similar events will continue to be included on the working agenda of the two institutions in the future.
