Romanian – Chinese Studies Center

The Romanian – Chinese Studies Center was established in 2012 as a part of the Department of Asian Studies of the Romanian – American University. Our main goal is to offer to our students a better understanding of the Chinese culture and business environment in order to improve the economic and cultural relations between Romania and China.

Our activities include Chinese language classes, conferences on economic and cultural subjects, scientific symposiums, establishing partnerships with universities and companies from China, in order to create student exchange and internship programms. Our Center organizes summer schools and study trips to China as well as cultural and artistic events.

The Romanian-Chinese Studies Center organizes Chinese language courses for beginners, intermediates and advanced users.

The course takes place over an academic year under the guidance of Ph.D. and synologist Ileana Hogea-Veliscu.
