Official visit at the Romanian-American University: opportunities for academic cooperation between Romania and the Republic of Azerbaijan
On Wednesday, 12th of November 2025, the Romanian-American University had the pleasure of welcoming H.E. Mr. Gudsi Osmanov, Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Romania, accompanied by members of his diplomatic team. The university was represented by Costel Negricea, Ph.D. Habil. Professor – Rector of the Romanian-American University and Tudor Edu, Ph.D. Habil. Professor – Vice-President for research, innovation and internationalization.
The meeting focused on identifying new opportunities for cooperation in the fields of education and research between Romania and the Republic of Azerbaijan, emphasizing academic exchanges, joint projects, and initiatives aimed at developing young professionals’ skills.
During the discussions, the parties explored potential collaborations between the Romanian-American University and higher education and research institutions in the Republic of Azerbaijan, with the goal of strengthening bilateral relations through academic mobility, international conferences, and joint educational programs.
This meeting represents another important step in the Romanian-American University’s commitment to promoting educational diplomacy and contributing to the development of an international academic network built on dialogue, partnership, and shared values.
By fostering international collaborations, the Romanian-American University reaffirms its mission to provide students and faculty members with a global, interdisciplinary, and future-oriented education.
