OUTGOING STUDENTS – PLACEMENTS

The Erasmus+ Placements Programme creates opportunities for students to undergo a practical training in an European company or institution, for a period of minimum 2 months, in their respective field of practice.

Erasmus+ supports traineeships (work placements, internships, etc) abroad for students currently enrolled in higher education institutions in Programme countries at Bachelor and Master level as well as for doctoral candidates. These opportunities are also open to recent graduates.

By doing a traineeship abroad with Erasmus+, you can improve not only your communication, language and inter-cultural skills, but also soft skills highly valued by future employers, as well as become more entrepreneurial.

All mobilities are organised in compliance with the Regulation for Student Mobilities (RO/EN)

The ERASMUS+ Program offers:

  • opportunity to have an internship abroad in your field of study;
  • financial support;
  • cultural, linguistic and pedagogic support for a successful participation to the program;
  • logistics support for mobilities;
  • tutoring during the traineeship period;
  • full equivalence of the traineeship, if the placement mobility is completed during the study cycle.

Why become an Erasmus+ student?

  • Have an internship in a European institution or company!
  • Try cultural and linguistic diversity!
  • Find out new wonderful places!
  • Make new friends from all over the world!
  • Create unique memories!
  • Prepare for a global society!

INCLUSION TOP-UP

Romanian-American University believes that an international exchange should be accessible to every student.

The Erasmus+ programme offers an inclusion top-up amount to students with fewer opportunities, who need extra financial support for a study exchange or traineeship due to specific circumstances. The Erasmus+ Top-Ups are supplementary grants which will be added to the regular Erasmus+ grant.

Which students are eligible for the Erasmus+ Inclusion Top-Up?

The following categories are eligible for the Erasmus+ Top-Up grant:

  • students with disabilities;
  • students facing socio-economic difficulties;
  • refugees.

Which criteria apply?

Students from the above-mentioned categories, willing to participate in an Erasmus+ study or traineeship mobility, are encouraged to contact the Erasmus+ Office for more information and evaluation criteria. We assure you that the assessment process will take place in a meticulous and confidential manner.

The inclusion top-up will be granted in accordance with the provisions set up in the Order no. 3392/2017 of the Ministry of National Education, of February 27, 2017, regarding the establishment of general criteria for the award of scholarships and other forms of material support for students and trainees in public higher education.

ONLINE LANGUAGE SUPPORT (OLS)

The Online Language Support (OLS) is designed to help Erasmus+ participants improve their knowledge of the language in which they will work, study or volunteer abroad so that they can make the most out of this experience. OLS promotes language learning and linguistic diversity and makes language support accessible to all participants. OLS is available for English, but also for other European Union languages.

By taking the OLS language assessment when going abroad, Erasmus+ participants are able to determine their proficiency in the language of the mobility and get access to a personalised language learning pathway.

Taking this assessment in the language of the mobility before departure is mandatory for students going on mobility for 14 days or more, to make sure that they meet the recommended level at their receiving organisation (except for native speakers or in duly justified cases). The results of the language assessment do not prevent participants from taking part in Erasmus+ programmes.

Participants who wish to improve their language proficiency have the opportunity to follow online language courses before and during their time abroad. Participants can follow language courses in any of the available languages on OLS.

Access OLS here !!

If you have already been selected to go abroad with the Erasmus+ programmes, login to the EU Academy OLS website to take the OLS language assessment.
