Partnership for Projects Focused on Education and Research in the Healthcare Field between the Romanian-American University and the National Company UNIFARM S.A.
The Romanian-American University and the National Company UNIFARM S.A. have signed a partnership agreement establishing the framework for collaboration in the fields of education, research, and professional training, with a focus on the pharmaceutical and medical sectors.
The National Company UNIFARM S.A. is a strategic national company in the pharmaceutical field, under the authority of the Ministry of Health in Romania, supporting the supply of medicines, supplements, medical equipment, and devices necessary for the functioning of Romania’s healthcare network. The company ensures the continuity of treatments and access to medical products at high quality standards and affordable costs for patients in Romania, and it has over 90 years of tradition in the pharmaceutical sector.
The agreement aims to develop joint projects designed to bring the academic environment closer to the realities of the healthcare system and to support the training of well-prepared specialists, with the goal of strengthening a modern, efficient pharmaceutical system oriented toward the real needs of patients. In this context, the partners will jointly develop educational programs that will include and enhance advanced capabilities related to crisis management solutions in the pharmaceutical field, technology and digital medicine, access and supply, logistics, as well as correlations regarding process synergies and the benefits generated for patients in Romania.
The collaboration will include the organization of student internships, the development of studies, research, and applied analyses, as well as the organization of conferences and debates on topics related to access to medicines, the efficiency of processes in the pharmaceutical sector, and the effective management of resources.
The signing of this agreement highlights the commitment of the two institutions to support the sustainable development of Romania’s pharmaceutical and medical sectors through education and research and reflects the need for close cooperation between institutions with a strategic role in the healthcare field and the academic environment.
