We are preparing the new edition of the “Book of Successful Alumni” on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the Romanian-American University
In 2026, Universitatea Româno-Americană (Romanian-American University) marks 35 years since its establishment — three and a half decades of quality education, international partnerships, and generations of alumni who have carried forward the University’s values into the business environment, public institutions, non-governmental organizations, and communities in Romania and abroad.
On this anniversary occasion, we are pleased to announce the publication of the book “35 successful graduates in 35 years of academic excellence”, a commemorative volume dedicated to professional and personal success stories that inspire and strengthen the RAU community.

Through the book ‘35 successful graduates in 35 years of academic excellence’, we seek to bring inspirational role models into the spotlight, celebrate excellence, and strengthen the connection between generations. Open Call for Applications and Nominations
Application period: April 29 – May 31, 2026
We invite all graduates of the Romanian-American University to apply or to nominate fellow alumni whom they believe deserve to be featured in this anniversary volume.
We aim to highlight alumni who:
- have built remarkable careers in their fields of activity;
- have actively contributed to the RAU community (by employing students or graduates, mentoring, or delivering presentations or lectures on campus);
- have supported the University through donations, scholarships, or other forms of contribution;
- express their willingness to remain connected and actively involved in the future of the academic community.
The application form includes information about professional achievements, involvement in the RAU community, and any additional details that applicants or nominators consider relevant for the selection committee.

Selection Process
All applications and nominations submitted between April 29 and May 31, 2026, will be reviewed by an internal University committee between June 1 – 14.
The alumni selected to be featured in the volume following the committee’s evaluation will be notified via e-mail between June 15 – 21, 2026.
The book ”35 successful graduates in 35 years of academic excellence” will be officially launched in the fall of 2026, during a special anniversary event dedicated to the RAU community.
What Does “Successful Alumnus/Alumna” Mean in the Context of the 35th Anniversary?
Romanian-American University defines a “successful alumnus/alumna” as a member of its academic community who has demonstrated professional excellence, integrity, and meaningful impact in their field of activity. Success is reflected not only through leadership positions or outstanding achievements, but also through contributions to society, the professional community, and the organizations in which they operate.
A successful alumnus/alumna is also an ambassador of the University’s values, maintaining an active connection with the academic community and supporting the development of new generations through mentorship, collaboration, or institutional involvement.
The selection process aims to highlight individuals who are representative of the diversity and evolution of the University’s 35-year history, and who inspire through their professional journey, work ethic, and ability to generate sustainable impact.
This initiative is more than a publishing project — it is a celebration of our community and of the impact RAU alumni have on society.
