The community of the Romanian-American University joined forces and got involved in charity activities whose main beneficiaries were children and the elderly.

 Thus, concrete cases were chosen for which donations were made in money or products, which brought a little magic to the souls of the less fortunate during the Holidays.

Charity Fair

As a result of the charity fair United for Humanity: Christmas Edition, we managed to raise in only 1 day, 3.877 lei, plus donations of clothes and toys, in order to help a single mother that raises her two children alone.

Their primary need was of fire wood for the winter and the secondary need was of clothes and school supplies for the children. We used part of the money to buy the firewood that they needed so much and gave the rest to the mother in order to buy winter clothes and shoes for the children and the necessary items for the Holidays.

Children Day Center

We made a financial donation to Aurora Day Center that helps children in Bucharest with severe neuromotor deficiencies with education, rehabilitation and socialization. The money donated can become a snack for the children, kinetotherapy or speech therapy sessions, even the fuel needed for the daily transportation of the children.

Due to the donations raised by the center, these kids have all the support for the recovery free of charge, To them and their families this help means a huge step forward to a better life quality.

Nursing Home

Our university has donated beds, mattresses and essential aliments for a nursing home, where old people without any income or very low income live. Besides the donations for the home, each of them received a Holiday goody bag and their joy is hard to be put in words!
