Romanian-American University Strengthens Long-Standing Partnership with Cape Peninsula University of Technology
The Romanian-American University continues to reinforce its commitment to internationalization and academic excellence through its long-standing partnership with the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) in South Africa.
Professor Tudor Edu, Deputy Vice-Rector for Research, Innovation, and Internationalization at the Romanian-American University, met with Professor Chris Nhlapo, Vice-Chancellor of CPUT, to discuss the future of the collaboration between the two institutions.
The partnership, established 14 years ago, has led to significant achievements, including joint research projects, student and staff mobility programs, and the publication of 13 co-authored scientific articles, many of which have been featured in journals recognized by the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) in South Africa.
During the meeting, both parties reaffirmed their mutual commitment to further strengthening the relationship. Discussions focused on expanding research collaboration, developing new academic exchange opportunities, and preparing for the upcoming visit of the Romanian-American University’s Rector to CPUT in 2026 — a visit that will mark a new chapter in the strategic cooperation between the two universities.
The Romanian-American University remains dedicated to fostering global academic partnerships that create new opportunities for students, faculty, and researchers, and contribute to a vibrant international academic community.
